I have wanted to write about my family’s history for many years now. At first I had nothing to write because I knew very little. Now I know a little more and it’s time to start.

I was told by a friend that her maxim for writing was to write every day. It sounds like a big challenge, but she says even one word satisfies the goal. So I’m not saying I’ll blog every day, but I will write every day.

I will fit writing into a life of intermittent work, gardening, more research, having coffee with friends, reading (I like to do that a lot), family, choir, and following news in astronomy.
